Selina Sze

Managing Director, Head of Client Services APAC

Enfusion

Enfusion is delighted to welcome Selina Sze back to our team to lead the Client Services team for the APAC region. At Enfusion, we recognize and value top talent, and we always welcome employees who have previously made meaningful contributions to our organization. Selina is a prime example of a rehire, having left our company to pursue other opportunities and chose to return to help elevate Enfusion's competitive edge in APAC. In this interview, Selina shares her motivations for returning to Enfusion.

Q: Please tell us about yourself.

A: I was born and raised in Hong Kong and attended high school and university in Australia. I have a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne and a Master of Business Administration from the EU Business School.

I started my career in asset management and have spent the last 15 years in global asset advisors and regional start-up fund houses. In my most recent roles, I acted as Senior Operation Executive managing the areas of corporate development, business process optimisation, and investment administration. I took up the Chief Operating Officer role at Atlantis Investment Management in 2017 and then performed in the same capacity at Elite Capital Management and Merlin Fidelis Asset Management.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my dog and appreciating wine with friends.

Q: What is your current role at Enfusion?

A: I am currently the Managing Director, Head of Client Services for the APAC region at Enfusion. I oversee the Client Onboarding and Account Management team, developing service level standards focused on reducing response time to achieve the highest levels of client satisfaction. I also manage and allocate resources to create functional strategies and objectives for each sub-function that reflect industry best practices.

With my previous experience being a COO and co-founder of an asset management firm, I approach my role with a COO mindset, focusing on being attentive, knowledgeable, inspiring, and accountable.

Q: What drove you to rejoin Enfusion?

A: First, the people - I genuinely enjoyed working with the diligent and talented team here, as I believe this is the true source of our success. I am very excited about the opportunity to be part of the management team to attract, retain and develop our talent, and help unleash the full potential of our people.

Second, growth potential – the tremendous opportunities to build upon the company’s strong foundation. Enfusion is an excellent product for investment management firms, and I am eager to take part in the journey to significantly expand our client base, revenue, and footprint.

Q: What makes Enfusion a great place to work?

A: Similar to why I re-joined the company, the people, hands down. The talented and passionate employees who are committed to the company's success. The culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. And a strong sense of purpose - everyone understands how their work contributes to the company's mission. Our people define how far we go.

Q: Tell us what you learned in your time away that brought you back.

A: During my time away from Enfusion, I went back to the asset management industry. What I realized is that metaphorically, Asset Management is like property management (something that I was very comfortable with), and Enfusion is the developer of a property building project. I want to build something different and truly impactful. I was not looking for just any job, but rather an opportunity to join a team that is passionate about creating something innovative and revolutionary. I want to be a part of that movement, to collaborate with like-minded individuals who share my vision, and to contribute to something that will make a difference in the world. I know that this company has the potential to achieve great things. Together, I would love to change the game and make our mark on history.

Q: What's your favourite thing about being back?

A: I have two favourite things: reconnecting with the talented people here and realising just how much potential still lies ahead; and working with our passionate and determined senior management team that focuses on talent, productivity, and strategic growth to bring our client services function to the next level. It reminds me of why I loved working here in the first place and I have never felt more optimistic about what we can achieve together in the future. It's an exciting time!

Q: What are your goals as the regional head of client services group?

A: First – Client Experience – it is utmost important to i) realign the interests and value ii) reengage trusts and relationship and ii) reinforce the partnership with our clients. We strive to provide world-class end-to-end client journey right from the beginning – from product discovery, onboarding preparation, project implementation, account management and product support.

Second – Process Optimisation – with the current group of experienced senior executives in various widespread industry background (buy-side, sell-side, financial technology, development etc.), it is our top priority to streamline business lines with structured approach, enhance reliability and quality in deliverables through continual improvement process, and promote operational efficiency through technology and

Last but not least – Talent Development – we do not just provide a job for employees; we endeavour to set our people for success by developing a career path through on-the-job trainings and cross departments collaborations.

In essence, there are tremendous opportunities in our region through product innovation, penetrating new customer segments, and strategic partnerships. With the right talent, culture and leadership, we can significantly expand our customer base, revenue streams and positive impact.

Q: What challenges do you foresee in the coming years?

A: The usual challenges of scaling a business - managing growth, staying ahead of competitors, building leadership capabilities, and navigating economic conditions. The key is having the right strategies to overcome them while preserving our unique culture and talent.

Q: Any final thoughts?

A: I'm grateful for this opportunity to partner with such an extraordinary team once again, and for the trust, confidence and support that my manager (Global Head of Client Services) and Executive Leadership Team of headquarters have given me. My priority is to provide the strategy, resources and leadership that empowers everyone here to do their best work - work that drives business success and makes a meaningful difference for our clients and people.

With a keen focus on attracting and developing talent, providing the best client experience, enhancing performance, and delivering a world-class quality of client services, I'm optimistic we can build upon Enfusion's strong foundation and create an even more remarkable success story in the years ahead.
